Nano Astaxanthin Pre-Concentrate
A strongly lipophilic carotenoid that absorbs poorly without dietary fat and oxidizes readily. It also colors your product, which is a formulation decision rather than a defect.
Why this active is encapsulated
Astaxanthin is among the least water-soluble actives we run and is expensive enough per gram that poor absorption is felt directly in cost per serving. It is also oxidation sensitive, so the carrier is doing two jobs at once: presenting it in a form the gut can take up without a fatty meal, and shielding it from dissolved oxygen over shelf life.
Primary benefit
Absorption. The carrier raises how much of the labeled dose actually reaches circulation, and tightens the variability between servings.
