Why this active is encapsulated
The marker compounds in rhodiola are reasonably water soluble already, so we are not selling you an uptake story here. What rhodiola is, is harshly astringent and bitter at functional doses, and that is what stops it appearing in more ready-to-drink products.

Taste and release. This active is already water soluble, so the carrier is used to mask bitterness and to flatten the release curve, not to raise absorption.
